I just love the rainbow colours of the beautiful Queer Lenormand deck which was created by the wonderfully talented Marianna Andrade. This was the deck that made Leno accessible to me as a gay male Witch and I am forever grateful to Marianna for its creation! So, what do we have today my lovelies? Well, I decided to grab my deck and ask the question “What do we need to know today?”, so let’s get into this.

The focus of the reading (our centre card) is the Mountain. It looks sharp, pointy, and downright insurmountable, doesn’t it? I notice the number 21 and I can’t help but think of the World card in the Tarot. Now, what’s interesting about this card is that whilst some may think of big success in worldly endeavours (for me a bit of a flimsy or perhaps lazy interpretation of this rather complex card in the Major Arcana), I look at the world and I think of boundaries! Putting up healthy boundaries in order to contain one’s energy and for my lovely empaths out there, to avoid being overloaded by the weight of other people’s emotions! Now if we think of the heaviness of that big old Mountain, I’m beginning to think of a scenario where you may be feeling pressured to do something that you are not comfortable with by other people – notice the Garden below the mountain – the weight of expectation or obligation – causing the worry of our Mice card above.

Steam Punk Tarot by Barbara Moore

So, let’s look to the past to see what is causing this issue. Well, our Key is pointing to the Tree and the Stork is below. When I look at the Stork I tend to think of something which is recurring as storks build strong nests, then return to them. The Tree usually indicates something unhealthy and sure enough it mirrors the House, the card of family and those close to us, perhaps those we live with. So maybe you’re feeling stuck in a routine (notice how the Tree knights to the Anchor) which feels unhealthy or just not good for you, and is causing worry and a nagging feeling (Mouse). But why the appearance of the Garden and the House – well, notice the Heart below the House – this is our privacy, or interior world, or safety, security and comfort. A place where we can be ourselves and feel good. Now let’s look again at the bottom line of our reading – I think of this as as series of imperatives, commands, or simply as advice.

Stork – Garden – Heart – If you are feeling stuck in a rut and being negatively affected by others then try to change your routine (Stork – Anchor), open yourself up to new activities (Key – Garden) with others who share your passions (Garden – Heart) and will encourage the growth (Tree) of your creative ideas, which will then lead to you feeling better and healthier, and make your Heart fill with joy. This will make you feel more stable (Anchor), more comfortable (House), and much, much happier (Heart). The Key is to find what you love Heart and do more of it! And of course to worry less (Mice) about what others (Garden) think, and this will gradually remove any energetic blocks (Mice – Mountain) you are feeling. Much love, Xand. X
