LATE NIGHT WITH THE #DEVIL AND THE #LENORMAND #GRANDTABLEAU ~ GENERAL READINGS VS SPECIFIC READINGS
What is up you lovely lot! Ok, so this is so interesting. I never lay an 8X4+4 GT these days and I hardly ever lay a GT without using houses. Also, I tend to not use the GT for more ‘general’ readings, but I felt inspired tonight so I decided to follow my intuition and lay this spread for May. Now, when I say ‘general’ readings, there are no such things as ‘general’ readings, they are specific and if this is meant for you then you’ll read something that will be beneficial. I think of these readings as being like magnets, they will attract similar energy – it’s basic law of attraction! So, if this is for you then I hope it helps in whatever you are going through right now.
Now, I tend to read a GT using the Method of Distance style so we look at what is near and what is far. I’ve made you the Ace of Hearts and the most significant person in your life, who will be playing a role during the time span of this reading, the Ace of Spades. I don’t use the ‘Man’ and ‘Woman’ cards as that is ridiculous in this day and age of LGBTQIA+ I mean, what if I’m reading for Sam Smith right? So first let’s see where you are falling in this spread.
You’re on the fourth row and more towards the right which tells me you have a lot on your mind. We could say that a lot of things are influencing you right now, and as you are close to the middle you’re right in the thick of it. But what is good, despite the close proximity of the whip, our card of conflict and drama – to do with other people – garden, see the fox touching you also – the card of wrongdoing and lies, the tower is above you telling me that you are getting a good view of things. Imagine climbing to the top of that tower so you can see a little further down the road. Also, with the close proximity of the dog (the card of loyalty), the garden (support from those close to you), the bouquet (again an interpersonal card we want near), and the clover (the card of opportunity and improvement), and the sun, the card of energy, and the star, the card of focus, this tells me that whatever you are dealing with you’ll have support from those close to you which will enable you to find solutions and ways (crossroads) of dealing with things so that you can make improvements in your life.
I notice that you knight to the rider (our skater in this deck), which connects to the letter which mirrors back to you, which indicates there may be some important conversations about changes in your life – letter knights to stork with child above, but with the closeness of the clouds to the letter, the child, and the ring – and with the tree touching the heart in the corner, I would imagine that for some of you there may be issues with relationships – I notice also the ring touches the whip which touches the snake, with the fox below, mirroring the tree. There’s strength in numbers when we read a GT and here we see a cluster of troubling cards – with the heart mirroring the book, the mountain (in the house of the rider) and the mice in the other corner – in house 25 – the house of the ring – and the distance between you and player 2 – up at the top which mirrors the scythe – we have had some issues this month! Notice how Player 2 – our Ace of Spades knights to the cross, and touches the key which points to the fish (notice also the scythe touching the house.
But despite the problems, and clearly, there have been problems – more than likely with money. What is good about this forecast for May is that the moon – my card of work – is close, the fish is close – the card of finances, the bear is close – the card of management of one’s finances, and with our final four cards in the fate line being the house, the bouquet, the sun and our beautiful star – I believe that you will find improvements and a lot more energy coming in May of 2024. Plans seem to crystalise with our star and once the storm of the clouds has cleared the weather will be beautiful! Just beware of that fox and book over the next four weeks! With the Scythe and the Coffin which knights to the mountain in the first house of the rider – there may well need to be some quick and decisive actions to be taken. Remember that ‘No’ is a complete sentence.
If you are dealing with gas-lighting May is the month to have those important conversations and put up those healthy boundaries! There may be issues with family for some of you with our lily mirroring the bear – see how the bear also mirrors you – the Ace of hearts and how the lily up top mirrors the letter which knights to the snake – the card of deception and twists and turns! See how that snake wraps itself around the anchor as it mirrors the card which touches the Ace of Spades! And with the cross far – indicating a burden of a long duration of time! This may well explain our tower card above your head under the ring – if you’re feeling isolated and defensive – instead of peaceful right now then May is the month to make those important decisions about personal relationships – notice how the crossroads (waze) mirrors the cross which again knights back up to Player 2!
